Davis-Stirling Act requires that a diligent visual inspection of the accessible areas of major common area components for Wood-Destroying Pests & Organisms be made one every three years.
It is recommended, however, that annual inspections and treatments for termite infestations and fungus infections will help prevent more serious and costly structural damage. The required three year inspection is for the purpose of establishing reserves. More frequent inspections are to identify and treat Wood-Destroying Pests & Organisms BEFORE they create significant damage.
